Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Wisaal Labs LLC for using mywisaal.com, the Wisaal app and related services.

Effective date: 1 October 2026·Version 1.2

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Wisaal Labs LLC ("Wisaal", "we", "us"), the operator of mywisaal.com, the Wisaal mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"). Registered address: Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

By accessing the website or app, or by creating an account, you agree to these Terms. Account creation requires active acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Wisaal is

Wisaal helps you track salah, fasting, zikr, dua and Quran reading, find the Qibla direction, view prayer times, receive optional reminders, and keep a personal spiritual journal.

Religious guidance disclaimer. Wisaal is a personal organisation and reflection tool, not a source of fatwa or qualified religious advice. Prayer times and Qibla direction are computed estimates based on device location, sensors, calculation settings and third-party or server data. They may be affected by calibration, magnetic interference and local conventions. Verify important times and directions with your local mosque or another trusted local authority, especially near dawn and sunset.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will deactivate it and delete the associated data.

When you register you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You may sign in with Google; your use of Google Sign-In is also governed by Google's terms. You must notify us promptly at salam@mywisaal.com if you suspect unauthorised account use.

4. Your licence to use the Service

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the website and install and use the Wisaal app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and applicable app-store rules.

Wisaal and its original software, visual design, branding, text and other materials are owned by or licensed to Wisaal and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the Service;
  • reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where the law permits;
  • access the Service by automated means or interfere with its normal operation;
  • attempt to access other users' data or probe our systems for vulnerabilities;
  • evade rate limits or security controls, introduce malware, impersonate another person, or use the Service for anything unlawful;
  • upload content that infringes another person's rights or is unlawful, abusive or exploitative.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in Wisaal ("Your Content"). For worship logs and other content the Privacy Policy says is synced to your account, you grant Wisaal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, back up, process, transmit and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot and maintain the Service. This licence ends when that content is deleted from our active systems, except for temporary backup copies and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy. Your written journal entries, heart-meter level, the emotion you select, and period-mode dates stay on your device and are not covered by this licence.

You are responsible for Your Content and for keeping your own exports or backups. Do not store content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to store. We do not use Your Content for advertising and we do not sell it.

6. Journal backups and passwords

Journal backup files are encrypted on your device with a key derived from the password you choose. We never receive that password and cannot recover it. If you lose the password to a backup file, the backup cannot be decrypted by anyone, including us. Keep your backup password somewhere safe.

Your written journal entries, your heart-meter level and the emotion you select stay on your device and are not uploaded to Wisaal's server. If you delete the app or clear local data without a backup, on-device entries cannot be recovered. Do not use Wisaal as the only repository for irreplaceable information, and do not enter information about another person unless you have a lawful reason to do so.

7. Health-related features

Period mode (for sister profiles), moods and reflection features are not medical, mental-health or fertility services. They do not diagnose conditions, provide predictions or replace professional care. Do not rely on them for health or emergency decisions.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as AWS (hosting), Google (optional sign-in), device notification services, and Apple and Google app stores. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. To the extent permitted by law, Wisaal is not responsible for outages, changes or acts controlled by those providers.

9. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage or any uptime level. We may add, change, limit or remove features and may suspend the Service for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons.

If we discontinue account-based features, we will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice and a reasonable opportunity to export data where circumstances allow. Emergencies, legal orders or security risks may prevent advance notice.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion from Settings or by emailing privacy@mywisaal.com. Deleting the app or wiping local data does not by itself delete your server account.

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, abuse the Service, or if we discontinue it. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability and disputes, survive.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that prayer times, Qibla direction, reminders, streaks, translations, religious text or other computed or displayed information are complete or error-free, or that Your Content will never be lost.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wisaal and its directors, staff and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from the Service. Our total aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Wisaal in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or AED 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, remedies or mandatory consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah. Before filing a claim, you and Wisaal agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the issue by contacting salam@mywisaal.com. If it cannot be resolved, the courts of Sharjah, UAE will have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the updated version and effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes in the app or by another appropriate method. Where law requires fresh consent, we will request it. Otherwise, continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
